Theme Through the bushes unnoticed in the corner, the chaotic but orderly world is projected. Twin doves resting inside the bushes, just like you and me, are slowly marching and chasing for something in their own little corner… For what purpose and where are they heading? Ahead of them is just the deep green abyss that echoes a mysterious voice driving them forward; following at the rear is the sound of past nostalgia trying and urging to break free. The twin birds are a metaphor for you and I settling in the world, although both humbly small and commonplace but cannot be overlooked. The intertwined vines are just as entangled as the mind of the wandering birds, where memories of home soil can only become more clear-cut by ascending higher up the vines. Only then can their homesickness be cured. (Jen Ying-ling) Art Chaotic but tightly packed image composition is arranged to extend from the upper right down to the lower left corners. The weakly saturated cyan constructs the main melody, the dense leaves and branches settle the score, and the complementary colors are used sparingly without unnecessary fanciness. The white bellies on the birds are still the visual highlights of the entire piece. The entangled vines are painted in brighter colors and stand out from among the leaves and branches. The overall composition is never dull with its adequate spacing, ultimately setting up a densely concentrated and emotional atmosphere. (Jen Ying-ling)
