Do words have desire? I try to use words as a form of artistic expression, and to explore how one can optimize the usage of words in this regard. Words have played a crucial part in some of my works such as the Taiwan Has Everything series, Time Difference, and The Interplay of the Positive and the Negative. In the series The Desire of the Words, words are used not only for writing; they serve as a form of the "readymade" art object. With the words featured in this series, I try to remind the viewers that behind the words which articulate human desire, there is a higher order of power that structures the evolution of life.
