I juxtapose scenes from a film and the painted images in this artwork to create a close contrast that feels estranged. When the sense of the body in film is compared with the sense of the body in reality, the cinematic body becomes a ghost without a real body although it is not unreal. Likewise, when we watch a film, our own bodies also exist in two worlds at once. In the cinematic world, it feels we can live on forever in the film rolls. In the real world, however, we feel that we can only vaguely experience the lives of the protagonists or see what they see as déjà vu but can never truly live “as” them.
