Beef noodles is a Taiwanese specialty, and bulls were the first animal sacrifices that the Israelites presented to God , both for redeeming themselves or for expressing gratitude. In the Old Testament, the Israelites killed bulls and dedicated to God as a brunt offering. They wanted to express gratitude to God for a good harvest year. The priest’s killing animals to redeem mankind’s sins is also symbolic of Jesus Christ’s shedding blood for the sinners. In the foreground of this painting are seven watermelon seeds; the number of seven symbolize completion. Because Jesus has overcome the power of death, mankind must live in repentance and be watchful all the time. The snake is symbolic of Satan. Since the devil had tempted Jesus before, it shall continue to tempt sinners and make them fall. On the gold ingot it says “treasures in heaven.” It reminds people that they must store up for themselves treasures in heaven. Finally, as long as they serve God with all their heart, they shall have eternal life.
