“Mountains” by Fu Hau-ming After Fu Hau-ming graduated from the Fine Arts Department at Chinese Culture University, he became a full-time artist and continued his studies at the Royal Academy of Belgium and the les Beaux-Arts de Paris. His work “Mountains” was nominated for exhibition at the 1st Kinouchi Yoshi Outdoors Sculpture Exhibition. Fu believes that the peaks and valleys of natural mountain ranges share similar forms and personalities with the human body. Thus, he tried to create a sculpture based on these two themes. This work looks like a human body on the outside, but the muscles on this human body are always changing, twisting and extending as if it is dancing, combining the majestic quality of the mountains with the movement of human limbs. This allows the work to showcase dynamic and static aesthetics at the same time as well as the tangible and intangible power of nature.
