1. This piece is inspired by the murals in the Dun Huang Caves. The main printing plate and each of the color plates are all created using the techniques of woodblock printing. 2. The artist tries to create an innovative artistic form, and particularly to create a visual effect different from that created by the final printing plate, by using a combination of techniques including chromatic printing, collage and marouflage. 3. This piece serves as an experiment for a new mode of artistic expression.
