I use an apple as a metaphor for desire and greed. In this work, figures play the roles of on-lookers as well as prophets. There are feelings of anxiety, humor, ire, indifference, insight and vacillation.
Facing a world that is impossible to completely comprehend, we have no other choice but to face ourselves. Deliverance can only be self deliverance, and absurdity is the most powerful way to remove the shackles of reason. The posture of the figures in the painting is for the most part unsymmetrical, and they are proportionally abnormal. I use twisted limbs and dejected and serious looking figures to express my sincere feelings about these city figures.
