City is always enormous and cold, especially modern skyscrapers in it. In City, people feel small, powerless, existing temporarily, manipulated by cities. Throughout one’s life, one has to be busy running around under its shadows and struggling to find his way in the maze in order to make a living. However, the cold exterior of City is constructed by human being’s collective will. Each building is a carrier to contain human being’s memories. Immigrants become citizens; citizens built as well as move City. Yet, the more modern the building is, the less personal element is added in it. Here, I would like to make a wild dream: is it possible, for City, to follow a man’s shadow and dance with a rhapsody? The construction and destruction of City happen in the swing and sway of a citizen. By this interactive device, the landmark architectures will dance with the viewers’ movements. Heavy concrete bricks and steel signboard are lightly being built and scattered. Travelers’ shadows overlap with architectures in City and reconstruct a direct dialogue between human beings and City.
