In this painting, I put together in one single image three elements which are unrelated to each other: a view of an island painted in the style of an impressionistic Chinese ink painting, a young woman painted in a cartoon style, and the deep blue sea. The positions of these three different elements in the painting are determined intuitively by imagination. By bringing together mutually unrelated or even exclusive elements together, I try to express my thoughts and views as a member of the younger generation. （Huang Chian-luen）
