This work is made of interactive 3D computer images. Each “octet” is a cell composed of polyhedrons; they have artificial life and can interact with audience through the built-in sensory system. This work is also an extension of my previous work “Artificial Life System”, which made artificial lives possible by automatic cell algorithm. Therefore, in this interactive automatic cellular world, “each octet is an independent cellular individual”. When the audience wakes up one of them, the disturbance would also wake up its neighboring cells, and then all of them would roll with different speeds and angels. Countless geometric figures move in the way organism wiggles, and push each other and appear to be like ripples: swaying ripples and splendid colors are interwoven into a clamorous scene. In an atmosphere like this, senses absorb and interpret the messages they receive from light, color and movements, leading human being into a peculiar world. (Young Artist Collection Catalog)
