Visiting Route and Orbit for Appreciating Plum Flowers In a car trip to the Plum Garden, Fengguidou, Xinyi Township, Nantou, I had a chance to see how plum trees can extend their branches in a wild, vigorous fashion on a small mountain road, which is different from our common impression of white plum flower petals being blown off by winds in cold weather. After the trip, I created a painting in memory of the plum flower scene. A path meanders through the painting paper, accompanied by tilted plum trees and houses on both sides scattering around so fascinatingly. The color of purple indicates it is dawn. White plum flowers and white house walls, reflecting upon one another, create a dynamic visual flow. It leads viewers to the tables and chairs under a tree on the lower left, which adds leisurely charm to this painting. (Chuang Lien-tung)
