Everyday in Taiwan we come across many sad situations which are inhumane. We have become used to seeing these problems but are indifferent. We love our Taiwan, yet neglect to care for our environment. As a young artist, I hope my initiative and energy can allow more people see the areas where society needs to pay more attention and make people more willing to take action about this society. I combine art, media and the Internet so that more people can see my artwork and hear my voice. I hope I can positively influence Taiwan, call people together to create a spontaneous movement and deeply motivate everyone. This animation uses satire to present the problem of corruption in Taiwan's teacher selection process. Through grotesque and gaudy scenery this work reflects the current disordered situation. The lead character in the drama is a recently graduated Taiwan Normal University student. After a year of practicum training, the student easily got a teaching certificate. However, due to supply and demand, there aren't any teaching positions available for such a large amount of trained teachers. Everyone has a teaching certificate but most can't become real teachers. After working hard for so many years, these people are still unemployed. Because there aren't enough jobs to go around, the teacher in our story must travel all over the island taking tests seeking work. To save money, he decides to ride a bicycle to sign up for tests and on the way he meets with many problems. The years of pressure and experience gradually turn him into a bicycle tour guide and culinary specialist, and after taking tests for so many years in distant mountain regions, he becomes a scholar of indigenous culture and languages. Later on he even become a famous writer, politician and contemporary hero of the Chinese people. The story unfolds at this strange and nonsensical point.
