The sound, the light and the positionality are the three most important elements of this project. I am most fascinated with the disproportional relation between these three. Most of us can easily perceive the emergence and disappearance of light through our visual sense, while some others may get confused and dazzled by the visual stimulation. Whereas the visual has had a privileged epistemological status, the sound is easily neglected. We are far more used to “look at a particular sound” than to “listen to a certain image.” I suggest that the sound is a completely different and irrelevant entity from the visual image; it alone constitutes an auditory memory in which light or visual imagery plays no part. Whereas the visual sense is tense, the auditory sense is quite the opposite.（Yao Chung-han）
