I was stuck in a snowstorm during my visit of Huangshan (China) in the winter of 2004, and for a southerner like myself, even the snow covered foothills of Huangshan was a strange and original visual shock. After returning home, I created this piece among the other six in the series. I revisited the beautiful scenery of white snow covered trees and branches at the foothills of Huangshan, where the contrasting white snow to the dark leaves and rocks forms an interesting formation. Like a rhythmic melody that presents itself to the cold but subtle beauty. (Chan Chien-yu)
