Mount Kailash in the Gangdise Mountains is a sacred peak standing at 6700m elevation with a 53km circumambulating path (the highest elevation along the path is 5700m). I participated in the circumambulating peregrination in 2005 as an experience of the religious pilgrimage, as well as firsthand exposure to the majesty of Mother Nature.
The pyramid shaped Mount Kailash is centered in on the canvas, where morning rays on the sacred mountain is depicted with the gold foil, gold paint, and mineral color pigments. (Gao Yung-lung)
