I feel strongly that all the senses and perceptions - touch, smell, hearing or emotions - are closely entwined with my own life experience. I also feel that artistic creation is a process in which the artist experiments with different mineral coloring and painting brushes when trying to articulate the mental imagery, in the hope to probe into the meaning and purpose of life. With a giant banyan tree in the campus, its thick leaves and branches as well as the twisted roots, I try to express my deep love for my long ailing mother.
