I have been trying to explore the complex and intriguing stories behind the seemingly blissful and loving relationships. Entitled Our Relationship, this piece features three funny-looking horses with an orange-colored pumpkin at the background and a hand manicured with glossy pink nail varnish stretching from behind the horses. All this makes one wonder what really is happening here. Where, one may want to ask, is Cinderella's horse-drawn carriage? All we see here is the roughly-looking pumpkin accompanied by strange-looking horses. As we take a closer look, we may discover that among the middle horse, which sits comfortably with legs wide open, is the only one gazes with bright piercing eyes towards the center of the picture. While the colorful threads attached to the horse's lower abdominal region , it seem to signify life and growth, the shiny eyes, shapely teeth and extravagant headwear appear to suggest a fairytale. However, there is no way for us to find out whether the pumpkin carriage is for real, or it is little more than Cinderella's fantasy.(Chang En Tzu)
