This photographic artwork is inspired by the multiple perspectives and painting concepts found my early ink landscapes adorned with human figures. I’d say this is a narrative or/and non-narrative large-scale fictional scene. I hope to venture beyond the mundane reality as I introduce the human figures, mountains and waters, natural wonders and gardens in Chinese painting to photography. In the course of observation, photographing, digital retouching and post production, I found out that even in everyday life there exists a sense of cinema, theatre and surreality. The people, things and events excerpted from different time and space are re-imagined, accumulated, deconstructed and reassembled in this single picture. When studying them from a contemporary perspective, they become crystallized memories that offer multiple views.
