Leap” by Chang Zi-lung
Chang Zi-lung graduated from the postgraduate program at Tama Art University in Japan. His works stress deep personal introspection while in the process of sculpting as well as extracting the shapes of life from the environment one lives in. The concrete and abstract visual angles in Chang’s works change according to the angle that viewers look at the works. The work “Leap” has curved and round outlines and abstract organic shapes that are full, thick and solid. The simplified female forms, the visual elegance and the smooth round texture of the stones in Chang’s work all hint at the rhythmic moving forms of the human body.
