In fact, as technology advances, more artificial compounds are also made for daily use. Nevertheless, people still long for the true, primitive nature.
The longing for nature becomes a central idea in Kao’s paintings. The artist likes nature and wants to capture the essence of it. But she is also aware that nature is not as simple as it seems to be. Thus, other than re-presenting nature, she also hopes to discuss the relationship between mankind and nature in her paintings of fluorescent colors.
