Artistic practice cannot be measured by experience. The idea for this painting came from a thermometer. The creative process itself can be likened to creating animation: the red face gradually turns black, while the body become silver grey with a touch of glossy shine as the artist tries to stay cool in life. While moving in fast motion, the three legs make a lot of noise, expressing a great deal of excitement. The thermometer attached to the tail looks like the miniature version of Taipei's most famous landmark, the building of Taipei 101, suggesting that the temperature of the earth continues to rise just like going to the top of the skyscraper. (Guo Fa Hong)
