This piece is dedicated to all our predecessors who have made significant contribution to the arts and culture of Taiwan during the era of Japanese Rule. The artist places in a large dark room historical photographs of our predecessors' activities. These photographs form a shape of the Taiwan island on the ground, on which dim yellow lights shed. This is to symbolize the loss of freedom of speech under the Japanese Rule, that all native cultural activities were forced into the dark. Nonetheless, like a handful of seeds growing in the dark, these activities have brought new hope to Taiwan.
