“Scenery of Life” by Yu Deng-chuan Yu Deng-chuan graduated from the Fine Arts Class in Dajia Senior High School. “Scenery of Life” uses a tree that has seemingly been uprooted by storms and torrential rain as its primary supporting structure, and Yu used metaphoric techniques to compare the tree trunk to the early development stage of mankind. In order to emphasize the relationship between humans and trees, Yu used malleable block techniques to sculpt the man’s legs and the area where the man connects with the tree. From the natural and powerful feel present in the work, we can see that Yu wants to express the warm memories during the different stages in his life.
