Muscular vines infiltrate and shackle the feminine elements, intercrossing patterns – just as blood vessels – decorating the limbs and bodies, while the imposing muscular vines mixed in with the surrounding air. I attempted to interpret the inner tenacity of the female sex through visual assets, where it could still multiply and flourish beautifully even in the face of impedance. My art and my mortal body are seamlessly intertwined, while the supple but rigid driving force supports me from the inside-out. The internal veins are flooded with struggles of extremity, but the stubborn rhythm and stressed-out melody sprawl noisily across the body. The seemingly peaceful and contemporary appearance is surrounded by faint and slow-moving Milky Way and stars, which exist to balance out each other and the entire context. The fluttering scene is not without its own sense of balance, never deviating nor swaying from its path. It is a delicate balance between the inner and outer states of minds, as well as physically exhausting. My creation is a chimney of release for the acting friction between inner and outer forces, where the ignited smoke and flames leave a mark on the canvas at each and every moment. My full-blown creative force is based on the balanced system of life, where I am hidden amongst the crowd as well as in my paintings. (Shie Hong-jiun)
