It is required of the client to bring this side painting away, along with the purchased main painting. The two-piece artwork will only be regarded to be complete when the client has finished painting the side painting, using the given tubes of paint. Throughout this almost confusing process, the painting is constantly referred to by itself. By the end, its content is not important anymore. “Artwork” becomes a pronoun, and artist + collector = artwork is understood as a pure declarative sentence. This project serves as the artist’s critique over the art market. He knows the market rules well and is aware that he can spark discussions through art. But the point here is really not to generate discussions. The point is, every time the artist looks into the art scene, he tries to redefine one more economic factor at work. He also hopes to secure a position for all artists as they trade art for money in this capital-drive community, with candidness and light-hearted sarcasm. "
