“Blend” by Chen Ting-shih Chen Ting-shih’s work “Blend” uses ready-made products made from industrial machines using standardized production. The work uses rectangular stainless steel boards of equal sizes as its medium, and twenty-four of these boards are welded at an oblique angle onto four stainless steel blocks, with six boards on each block. The end product is four structures of identical size and form with different colors that intersect with each other on the pedestal, showing off minimalist and clean lines that intertwine with each other, making for a boundless spatial feel. When viewers look at the work, they can see different visual views, and the crisscrossing lines and changing colors that mingle with one another can also incite different feelings.
