Changing Insects Changing Shapes 1-8 I used drawing, pyrography and pasting techniques to portray spiders in this series. It is proved that the creative methods can most beautifully describe the web-weaving process and the insects in different forms. The eight-piece artwork provides eight different perspectives from which viewers can see the insects analyzed, deconstructed and reconstructed. The fact that each piece may contain one to three screens enhances spatial and visual variety. A thorough examination on the spiders is carried out between black and white, the real and the virtual, complicatedness and simplicity, and completeness and lack of things. (Chuang Lien-tung)
