In the preceding Flowing Pride, I appropriated personal memories to describe the state of being in a city. As far as I remember, it was a dark, cloudy day, and I gazed at the city from a vertical angle simply because it was a habit and a way to space out. Following a concentric structure, I mixed and matched slices of the hypnotic hours. Time and space seemed to slide around in the city like a slow train or a drifting boat.
With Flowing Pride II, I look into even simpler hours, which often pass without notice in cities. In this artwork, some canvas strips entwined with TV antennas flutter in the air. I use the synchronic techniques of collage and editing to re-present such moments in life. The canvas strips, jumping and dancing in co-existence with the antennas, live their lives.
