Lin Ching-Fong is a young Taiwanese artist who has been an active presence in many exhibitions. His works are closely bound up with the latest pop-culture trends and the cultures unique to Taiwan. By incorporating his coming of age experience and transforming the symbols of cartoon characters, the artist has created many scenes characteristic of Taiwan’s diverse cultures, such as the omnipresent “selfie culture,” “mascot dolls,” or the corrugated metal houses and adult shops in Taiwan.
