I have always wanted to make my art as approachable to the viewers as possible. I feel strongly that art is a form of communication, so any attempts to limit the audience would mean indifference or alienation to me. Besides, I have always enjoyed adding humorous plot elements to my work, which are rather familiar in our everyday life. It is worth mentioning here that I am often inspired by funny cartoons which are not meant to be analyzed for their subtext and what they really mean. For example, we often see in cartoons someone falls into a water pond but come out all dry and clean, or someone bump on the head and get a big lump in one minute, but then appear somehow perfectly fine the next minute. Despite its seeming absurd, most audiences would simple go along with the plot without paying too much attention to these small details. I feel that cartoon is a good means of communication because its messages are easily understood by most people, and that is how I want my art to be. It is my belief that art should be integrated into everyday life, and should appeal to the widest possible audience. I hope that every audience can easily understand what I try to say with my art and look at my art through all different experiences, and that my art would be a platform where all these different feelings and experiences – including my own and those of the viewers – are shared.
