To make this artwork, I selected 60 characters in world history according to my own likings. They were all “invisible” for some time in the grand historical narrative. Some of them remain a mystery today, while others managed to emerge again. The images of these once invisible characters are either excerpted from classic readers or downloaded from cheap websites. I made this animation hoping to create a fictional story specifically for them.
The story begins with an aerobics session on a wonderful sunny morning. From flowers and landscape of the André Bauchant and Wu Li Yu-ke styles, to a mysterious forest with a Henri Rousseau tinge, joy permeates the air and a bright, touching and harmonious picture is revealed.
