Huchiu Tower in Suzhou Lin Yu-shan made this painting in 1991 during a trip to China. The subject of this painting, the Huchiu Tower was previously named the Yuyan Temple Tower. It is a seven-story traditional Chinese octagonal brick architecture. The high-rising tower stands in the background of this painting. In the foreground is another famous spot of the area, Jianchi (the Sword Pond), allegedly built during the rule of the State of Wu. Between the two are verdant trees. The composition is complete and the brushwork is natural.
