The title of this artwork, Untitled (Forth Sixths Lymph, NY Post Url), says something about my creative approach. Viewers are free to discover the meanings ridden in the collage of images. On the lower right of the painting is a title, Symphony No. 6, a.k.a. Pastoral Symphony. One can see that the round shapes resembling wheat field circles are inspired by the word “pastoral.” Such is my manipulation of words and images. The artwork is presented as a manipulation of words through images. It is composed of two sections, a framed document that consists of photos and sketches, as well as an oil painting about crop circles. The framed objects are the images that serve as reference for the oil and a sketch on the painting title. The inspirations of the sketch—the search results— also come from the Internet. It feels like a certificate of something. Overall, this artwork deals with the complicated relationship between words and images. Its mysterious look reflects the artist’s effort in vain.
