This piece serves as a visual record of the damages which have been brought about by Typhoon Morakot, which landed in Taiwan the midnight of 8th August 2009, leaving 461 people dead and 192 others missing, most of whom are feared dead. What I try to do here is to convey the enormity of the disaster by picturing the physical consequences of the disaster area in a quiet and sobering way.（Chen Po-i）
