In 2015, the National Taiwan Museum of Fine Arts revitalized the works of the national treasure of Lin Yu-shan, the master of the collection of the national treasures, in the "Decoding the Treasure Trove—An Exhibition of Collection and Conservation", and successfully transmitted the soft art value in combination with the novel scientific and rational application. In 2016, it was the starting point for the vigorous development of VR Virtual Reality technology. As the pioneer of the Art Museum, the National Taiwan Museum of Art pioneered the advanced interactive projection technology used in the past year, and further combined with the new VR virtual reality application. The viewer can not only interact with the paintings, but also enter the world of paintings through the VR device and become a member of the painting.

Lotus Pond - Cardboard360

The VR Lotus Pond Light Experience set in the 109 gallery allows visitors to peek into the VR Lotus Pond while waiting or resting. The htc smart phone combined with the Cardboard360 handheld VR device allows the user to quickly experience the fully automatic carousel. The user can view the lotus pond scene in the 360 degrees virtual reality.

Lotus Pond – Digital Interactive Projection

Beginning with the author and the introduction of the work, with the scenes from the morning to the night, the light and shadow changes and the artificial intelligence of the character behavior, a variety of interactive plots show the diversity of the lotus pond. The modular multimedia system can display the interactive pleasure brought by the digital lotus pool without repeating the infrared sensing, and touch the curved wall to observe the character's behavior.

Lotus Pond – Virtual Reality Experience

They are presented in two types of interaction modes, seat type and standing type, so that the people can make an experience choice for their preferences. In the seat mode, the people mainly observe and experience around the lotus pond in a microscopic way without complicated operations, and feel the wonders of the night surrounded by fireflies.
